NOMINATIONS & VOTING
1. The vetting process
The Guild of Music Supervisors relies on Craft Committees made up of highly experienced professionals — with varying backgrounds and perspectives — who are actively working in the sync and supervision communities. These committees vet every entry and are committed to the fair and thorough review of each GMS Awards submission.
2. The nomination process
Guild of Music Supervisors Members are the official voting body that determine the nominees for the GMS Awards. Each member will self-select three (3) categories to vote for nominees. Voting takes place online through a secure third-party website with only one ballot counted per individual voter. All ballots are confidential and tabulated by Award Force.
3. The winners
Guild of Music Supervisors Members are the official voting body that determine the winners for the GMS Awards. Voting takes place online through a secure third-party website with only one ballot counted per individual voter. All ballots are confidential and tabulated by Award Force. Up to three (3) award statues will be presented with each category, additional award statues will be available for purchase to qualifying recipients.
The Guild of Music Supervisors strongly encourages voting members to view as many of the nominated titles as possible. We encourage members to abstain from voting in any category where they have not viewed all of the titles.
