PAST GMS AWARDS

 

Each year The Guild of Music Supervisor's recognizes outstanding music supervision in categories representing Motion Picture, Television, Video Games, Trailers, and Advertising.  

7TH ANNUAL GMS AWARDS

The Seventh Annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards was held on Feb. 16 at the Theater at the Ace Hotel in Lost Angeles.

Recognizing outstanding music supervisors in 15 categories, representing movies, television, games, and trailers. A number of new categories were added this year, including best music supervision in a documentary, best song/recording created for a film, and best original song/recording created for television.

Gary Lemel received the second Guild of Music Supervisors Award.

6TH ANNUAL GMS AWARDS

The Sixth Annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards was held on Jan. 21 at the Theater at the Ace Hotel in Lost Angeles.

Recognizing outstanding music supervisors in 15 categories, representing movies, television, games, and trailers. A number of new categories were added this year, including best music supervision in a documentary, best song/recording created for a film, and best original song/recording created for television.

Chris Montan, president of Walt Disney Music, received the first Guild of Music Supervisors Award. Montan, who is responsible for the music across Disney’s properties, including animated films, touring shows and theme parks, has been at Disney for more than 30 years.

5TH ANNUAL GMS AWARDS

On January 21, 2015 the 5th Annual Guild Of Music Supervisors Awards event was held at the historic film stages of Mack Sennett Studios in Los Angeles, California. The best uses of music in 2014 film, television, advertising, games and trailers were celebrated by the Guild Of Music Supervisors members and friends. Special event sponsors were Republic Records, Island Records and Capitol Music Group as well as APM, Audio Network, Firstcom, Killer Tracks, Megatrax, Ole/Music Box, Warner/Chappell Production Music, ABKCO, ASCAP, SESAC, Peer Music, TAXI, Glassnote Records, Division of Sound and Downtown Music Publishing.

4TH ANNUAL GMS AWARDS

 

The Guild of Music Supervisors' fourth annual awards event took place on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Mack Sennett Studios in Hollywood. 

 

Motion Pictures “Frozen,” “American Hustle,” “The Wolf of Wall Street,” “Gravity,” “Her,” “The Great Gatsby,” “Saving Mr. Banks,” “Inside Llewyn Davis,” are a sampling of films receiving nods. “Breaking Bad,” “Scandal,” “True Blood,” “Orange is the New Black,” “Behind the Candelabra,” “Girls,” “American Horror Story,” “Shameless,” “Nashville” and “Boardwalk Empire” are included in the television categories.

 

Brands Pepsi, Nike, Converse and Apple all received recognition as contenders in the advertising division. In the gaming category, Grand Theft Auto, Metal Gear Rising, Gran Turismo 6, FIFA 14 and NBA Live 14 were highlighted as nominees.

 

3RD ANNUAL GMS AWARDS

On February 20th, 2013 the Guild of Music Supervisors' held their 3rd annual award show recognizing outstanding Music Supervision 12 categories. Winners included Django Unchained, Pitch Perfect, Breaking Bad, Magic Mike, and Girls.
